Michael Parks broke into television when a talent agent discovered him (1958) performing in a theatrical group's production of Compulsion in Hermosa Beach, California at the age of 18. He has been in over 150 television episodes and movies since 1961 but he is probably best known by older generations for his 1969-1970 TV series, Then Came Bronson. ->Video clips ->photos and ->episode details.
Michael also sang the show's theme song, ->Long Lonesome Highway which became #20 on Billboard's Hot 100and #41 on Hot Country Songs. Music albums from the late 1960s and 1970s from his parallel music career included: Closing the Gap (1970), Blue (1970), Lost and Found (1971), You Don't Know Me (1980) and Coolin' Soup in 1998. In the early 1960s, he appeared in TV shows such as The Detectives, Ben Casey, Perry Mason and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. After the Perry Mason episode (The Case of Constant Doyle) with Bette Davis, she commented, "Without a doubt, and with neither hesitation or reservation, I'd have to pick Michael Parks as the greatest young actor in the business today."

Michael is probably best known by younger generation by his more recent work with director Quentin Tarantino, From Dusk 'Til Dawn (1996), Kill Bill:Vol.1 and Kill Bill: Vol.2. Mr. Tarantino has referred to Michael as, "The world's greatest living actor".
